When I lived in Iowa we had a running joke that there was a “Dark Side of Des Moines”. Which would put us in hysterics because “there was no dark side of Des Moines, it was all white!”
I really wish I’d been taking screen shots of the top 100 albums on the iTunes Music Store. Because since they turned it on Dark Side of the Moon has been consistently on that list. It’s never been very much past 70th most popular. And one time I did see that it was missing. For the longest time I figured that the programmer for the Top 100 feature randomly placed it any where past 60 as a running joke or a tribute to it’s longevity on a list.
